Pepper futures marginally higher
2010/11/12 - There was a calculated move to bring down the price by spreading bearish propaganda that low grade pepper from the plains were available cheaper and expert processors were buying it and depositing in the exchange. An estimated 20-25 tonnes of this pepper are being deposited and similar or more quantity might also being deposited in other warehouses
IPC sees further fall as declining trend in production continues.
Global pepper production is on a declining trend. The declining production has resulted in lower exports from the major pepper producing countries in 2009 and 2010, the International Pepper Community (IPC) has observed. The projected production and export figures for 2011 also reinforce the declining trend. As inventories trickle down, the global trade is expected to fall even more sharply.

An arrangement has been worked out with the Indonesian internet provider Telcom to provide the service free to the farmers, this was announced by Mr V.K.
